I've been reading the Feedzone Cookbook by Biju Thomas and Allen Lim lately. It's a guide to 'Fast and Flovorful Food for Athletes', and if gels quickly lose their appeal on a long run, as they do for me, then this is well worth a look. It's available at Amazon. Here's my first batch of rice Allen's Rice Cakes. They taste good in the kitchen but obviously need to be trail tested in training!
